Cardio Workout Plan - Why Have One?

Having a Cardio Workout Plan, will help keep you on track in order to achieve your goals. Without a plan, you may not realize the progress you are making and will get discouraged. It is also a way to reward yourself when you reach a certain goal. Keeps you Motivated!

The benefit of a workout plan is that you will always have something to do for that day. You are never left to flounder or get off your schedule. As long as you have a routine to follow, it is easy to stay on the plan. When you go wherever the wind blows, it is easy to lose track of what you should be doing and accomplish little, if anything when it comes to your fitness and/or weight loss.

Cardio Workout Plan - What Are Your Goals?

Is it to Lose Weight? Or perhaps there are some medical reasons, high blood pressure, anxiety, better circulation, hypertension, etc...

- What Should A Cardio Workout Plan Include?

From the beginning you need to have identifiable goals both big and small. Goals are important because they give you something specific to work towards.


Small goals can include specific weight goals, distance goals, or endurance goals.

Your goals are yours and yours alone. But, you need to have some goals that will be easily achievable as well as some that are a little more aggressive.

Your Cardio Workout Plan should also include a plan of action for meeting those goals. Goals without a plan is like a boat without a paddle. Your aren't going to be able to go anywhere, especially where you want to go.

The most difficult thing for many people who have worked hard to develop and implement a Cardio Workout Plan is sticking with it for the long haul. It is simple to see a few results and grow complacent, or worse, not see results quickly enough and give up altogether.

One way to overcome this is to include a few alterations or changes to your workout each week just to keep things from becoming stale. Consider switching out one day a week for a long bike ride or swimming laps.

This should be an integral part of your cardio plan in order to keep things going when the going gets tough or your routine becomes boring and/or ineffective.
